When is it done?
Whenever there is a risk that comes from inside the school.
Examples: Fire, Explosion, Bomb Threat, Gas Leak
Evacuation Alarm
2 Shelter:
What is it?
It means locking yourself away in a safe place inside the school.
When is it done?
Whenever there is a risk that comes from outside the school.
Examples: Floods, Chemical accident, Forest fire
Shelter Alarm
Legislation
It is drawn up and constituted under the terms of:
Decreto-Lei 220/2008, de 12 de Novembro: Regime jurídico de segurança contra incêndios em edifícios.
Portaria 1532/2008, de 29 de Dezembro: Regulamento técnico de segurança contra incêndios em edifícios.
Why is a Prevention and Emergency Plan important?
Although it arises from the application of the law, it becomes, in practice, a tool with a strong operational component, a guide, a “living” document of procedures for the various risk situations particular to each school, and must be shared with the entire school community.
