WHITE WEEK 2025 – Trip to Vallnord (Andorra) – from January 4th to 11th, 2025

Visiting Andorra (Vallnord) and having an unforgettable experience in the snow is the ever-challenging proposal of what is now known as "White Week", which is also being organised in Madeira by Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz Secondary School, in partnership with Escola Secundária Francisco Franco.

This is an initiative that was launched in the 2010-2011 academic year, only interrupted in 2020-2021 by the pandemic, and which will be promoted again this year, from January 4th to 11th, 2025, with the new name “White Week". Over the years, students from the aforementioned schools have had very enriching and unforgettable experiences on their trip to Andorra, both culturally and in terms of their personal development. In fact, “White Week” is a school project that includes a ski/snowboard course for a week. This course is scheduled for five days during the week of January 4th to 11th. This takes advantage of the low season, which allows not only more affordable prices but also better use of useful track time, avoiding queues, but above all the risk of accidents is substantially reduced. It is important to note that, at the beginner level, it is easier to ski with few people on the slope, making progression faster.

During this week, there will be 15 hours of practical skiing with the resort's instructors and 15 hours of further training with teachers from both schools, as well as the Colégio do Sagrado Coração de Maria and Colégio Cesário Verde, both in Lisbon.

It should be noted that this trip, which is open to students, is renowned for its organisation, with preparatory contacts with those interested to clarify any doubts, as well as a meeting with all the parents of the students taking part, and is also accompanied by teachers.

Once again, the students are getting ready to discover the natural paradise of Vallnord, where they can practise their snow skills on the various ski and snowboard slopes.
