Bruno Gouveia addresses the topic “Humanitarian Mission”

The Coordinators of the Extracurricular Activities at Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz begin a new Cycle of Conferences, within the scope of the Project “Together we learn and grow”, on the 22nd November, from 10 am to 11:15 am, at Sala de Conferências Dr. Jorge Moreira de Sousa.

This initiative, which features Professor Bruno Gouveia as the only speaker, is about the topic “Humanitarian Mission – today and always”. The aim is to encourage students' reflection, namely, to awaken curiosity and critical thinking regarding works and actions carried out by people who work to achieve a fairer, more dignified and more equitable world.

ESJM seeks to promote among students the experience of an increasingly inclusive society, where solidarity, respect and tolerance are a constant reality, in addition to contributing to increasing students' knowledge, stimulating a collaborative spirit between them and teachers.

The conference will be divided into two parts: the first will be the presentation of the speaker and the humanitarian mission “Rota dos Livros” that he carried out in 2002 and following years and then a more dynamic and interactive moment, with the participation of students for meaningful learning.
