Jaime Moniz students take a field trip to Berlin
Eighteen students from our school, accompanied by teachers Marco Rebelo and Isabel Barros, and other teachers, are participating, during this week, in the study visit to Berlin, an educational project started in 2010.
Initially aimed at German students, this project was expanded to include students from other courses. The objectives are clear – in addition to developing language skills in German, this trip promotes personal development and autonomy and allows contact with other cultures, as well as the consolidation of facts from modern European history, with a special focus on Berlin and in Germany.
The program in Berlin is diverse and complete. It includes visits to places of great historical and cultural importance, such as the German Parliament and the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, the Holocaust memorial, the Television Tower and the Olympic Stadium.
On the other hand, visits to the Ikono Museum, Madame Tussaud's Museum, the Sea & Life Aquarium and the Berlin Zoo provide moments of leisure and fun. The visit becomes even more special with a visit to the traditional Christmas markets spread across the city.
