Erasmus+ Project takes Jaime Moniz students to Croatia
From October 7th to 11th, 2024, five students and three teachers from Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz participated in another Erasmus + mobility, this time in Croatia, the last mobility of the project “A different view of the world”, which started in 2023.
The students and teachers from the different participating countries were hosted by the Srednja Skola fra Andrije Kacica Miosica school in Ploce. The program included several activities, from photography workshops to trips to the Basina Lakes, the Neretva River, Dubrovnik, Split and the Vranjaka Caves, where students applied the knowledge acquired.
The goals of this project were to master the art of observation and share the vision and personal interpretation of the medium, through photography. Teachers developed teaching methods using photographic records. This project also promoted knowledge sharing, teamwork and problem-solving skills, as well as understanding and friendship between people of different countries and cultures.
All students had an unforgettable week in Ploce. Portuguese, Italians, Greeks, Poles and Croatians presented their cultures and perspectives on the world, with respect, friendship and mutual assistance predominating. Pictures of these moments were captured, showing the interpretations and emotions experienced throughout the visit.
