Tribute to sport with Mega Fitness Class

Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz started another week of classes in a different way, inviting students to exercise, in the name of health. Therefore, this morning, in the atrium of the “Liceu”, a “Mega Fitness Class” was promoted, at the main entrance of the school, open to the entire school community, in the school block between 9:45 am and 11:15 am, with the active participation of dozens of students, who thus gained new energy for classes.

The instructors of the BE-FIT Gym – Funchal, Nélio Gonçalves and Luísa Correia, organized the Mega Class that brought together students and also some teachers.

The Physical Education teachers are credited for the event, which is part of the celebration of European Sports Day, and as way to pay tribute to physical exercise, in partnership with Funchal City Council – Department of Youth and Sports and the BE-FIT Gym – Funchal.

The European School Sport Day (ESSD) is a project co-financed by the Erasmus+ Sports Program, coordinated at European level by the Hungarian School Sport Federation, with the participation of forty-two countries.

The occasion is celebrated with an open day that includes sports, games, and activities, aimed at encouraging children and young people to be more active, promoting their participation in physical and sporting activities.
