Club “O Moniz” presented the show “Tique-taque”

On April 19th, Clube de Teatro O Moniz – Carlos Varela from Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz presented the show Tique-taque, in the 2nd Edition of the Environmental Theater Festival, in Jardim Municipal, promoted by the Funchal City Council.

Students Afonso Figueira, Bernardo Câmara, Bruna Vieira, Catarina Fernandes, Madalena Magalhães, Rita Vieira and Sara Aveiro appeared on stage to highlight the urgency for us all to get involved in protecting nature and environmental issues.

In an attempt to raise awareness of environmental degradation and threat, activists are beginning to count the time that no longer exists. This time, it's the forest that's at stake. 

The project Tique-taque consisted of a collective work of dramaturgical writing practice, having as its theme the protection of the forest, also bringing the discussion of activist practice against works of art as a means of drawing attention to the degradation of nature.

The coordinators of the theater club are Ana Cristina Afonso, Filipa Moutinho and Vanda Caixas.
