“Liceu” organizes Erasmus+ mobility “A Different View of the World”

In the week of November 27th to December 1st, five students and two teachers from Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz participated in mobility within the scope of the “A Different View of the World” project, in Catania, on the Italian island of Sicily.

Over the course of five days, students and teachers from Croatia, Greece, Poland, Portugal and the host country – Italy – participated in various activities, such as photography workshops, competitions, study visits, always with the aim of developing skills in level not only of personal learning and thinking, but also of interpersonal relationships. In addition to the various cultural activities, such as visiting emblematic places in that Italian city, exploring cities of historical interest, such as Syracuse and Taormina, or carrying out work in museums, project participants had the unique opportunity to explore a little about the most active volcano in Europe – Etna – and discover some interesting facts about it.

During this week, students and teachers involved in the project had the opportunity to learn new things, work collaboratively and discover new cultures and new realities. Everyone, without exception, had unforgettable experiences and made friends for life.

This type of experiences undoubtedly plays a fundamental role in the integral development of students, as it allows them to broaden their horizons and provide them with practical knowledge of the world and the cultural diversity that surrounds them, making them true European citizens.
