Clube de Teatro O Moniz – Carlos Varela Participates in the Ceremony to Celebrate 60 Years of Special Education in Madeira

The Regional Department of Education invited Moniz – Carlos Varela Theater Club of Escola Secundária de Jaime Moniz to take part in the Ceremony to Celebrate the 60 Years of Special Education in RAM, on December 7th, at the Cultural and Research Center of Funchal. The Club welcomed the guests and livened up the spaces with the artistic performance – Os Mimos.

In this ceremony, children and students from various educational and teaching establishments in RAM participated, as well as young people from various associations and entities, public and private in the Region.

The event was presented with the motto  Think, Feel…Act!

The Club's participation consisted of the design of artistic notes that took place along the route that the official entities and the rest of the public followed, from the entrance of the recently opened and extraordinary cultural space in the city of Funchal, to the auditorium where the final show was presented.

The students from our school:  Rita Vieira, Afonso Figueira, Bruna Vieira, Madalena Magalhães, Ana Margarida Jardim, Bernardo Câmara, Catarina Fernandes, Vítor Rodrigues, Júlia Nóbrega, Tomás Correia, João Caires, Tatiana Faria, Estela Martins, brought the mysterious to life and friendly Mimos who celebrated the school as an unifying space, even in differences, where all students have their place. 

In this way, the Theater recalled the need to build a society that allows everyone to Think, Feel…Act!
