Conference on “Fire Prevention and How to Act in the event of a Fire?”

On November 9th, at Escola Secundária de Jaime Moniz, at 3 pm, in the Dr. Jorge Moreira de Sousa Conference Room, the Conference “Fire Prevention and How to Act in the event of a Fire?” took place, carried out by Miguel Dinis and João Figueira, from Bombeiros Voluntários Madeirenses. After the lecture, there was a practical activity in the school gardens.

This activity is promoted by the Physics and Chemistry disciplinary group and is aimed at students in the tenth year of the scientific-humanistic science and technology course. An action that aims to: know safety rules in the laboratory, know how to prevent the occurrence of fires, and know how to act in the event of a fire.

The event will be repeated in order to reach all year 10 classes that use the Physics and Chemistry laboratory.
