Conference “Nanomaterials and Nanoscience”

On October 30th, at Escola Secundária de Jaime Moniz, at 3pm, in the Dr. Jorge Moreira de Sousa Conference Room, the Conference “Nanomaterials and Society” took place, given by Professor Doctor João Rodrigues, director of the Master's Course in Nanochemistry and Nanomaterials at UMa.

This conference, organized by the Physics and Chemistry Experimental Sciences Club, aimed to encourage students to have a taste for Science, especially Chemistry, and to raise awareness of the importance of nanomaterials in everyday life in society, as they are identified as fundamental in a future increasingly supported by substrates based on nanotechnology, particularly in areas as important as medicine, information technology and even construction.
