Merit awards to the best secondary school students
The Lisbon Academy of Sciences grants merit awards to the best secondary school students in the subjects of Portuguese (Prémio António Vieira), History A (Prémio Alexandre Herculano) and Mathematics A (Prémio Pedro Nunes).
These awards, with an annual value of 3,000 euros each, are financed through patronage support from the Amélia de Mello Foundation.
Students who finish secondary education with a grade of no less than 18 in the subjects to which the awards refer, who have never been held back one year, and who have a general average of no less than 17 in the remaining subjects, can compete.
Applications are made by filling out the registration form, sending the declaration of acceptance of the jury's decision, the classification certificates and the essay in PDF format to the email geral@acad-ciencias.pt by September 15, 2023 .
